Born in France in 1905, Christian Dior was a fashion designer who became a synonym for luxurious fashion and couture collections after his creation of the 'New Look', voluminous dresses that emphasized woman's curvy body, in 1947. The collection stood out from the simple fashion styles of the World War II era, giving Dior a huge success in the fashion industry all over the world.
Dior started his own fashion empire business after working for or alongside other renowned fashion and perfumers, such as Robert Piguet, Lucien Lelong, and Pierre Balmain.
